About
Tall Ant Arts are a creative community group that offer young people workshops in theatre, music, and creative writing. Our aim is to create an environment where young people can be creative & learn whilst building their confidence and having fun!
Tall Ant Arts is ran by Paul Tallant. Paul has been working in education for over 10 years in a range of different roles. He began working with SEND children and eventually went on to run a music department in a high school and sixth form. He has worked across the North West and on The Isle of Man in both mainstream and private settings.
Outside of teaching, Paul has an extensive background in Music & Theatre. He studied Performing Arts at University and specialised in playwriting and directing. He went on to complete a two year writers programme at The Liverpool Everyman theatre where he co-wrote a play for young actors to be performed on The Everyman's main stage. Paul has written several plays which have been performed across venues throughout the city. Outside of writing Paul has performed in several plays and for TV.
Paul has been teaching guitar since he was a teenager and followed a passion for music throughout his life. He has performed in several bands from indie, blues to performing for theatre productions. He has toured in bands across Europe and still actively plays music live.
Paul's main passion is teaching. His aim is to pass on what he has learnt to others and create environments that are active, engaging and routed in development both of performing arts and personal wellbeing.
